For Dentists

The All-on-4 dental implants system is dubbed ‘’Teeth in a Day’’ for a very good reason.

In just one day, patients can expect to have a whole arch of fixed teeth. If you’ve been living with missing teeth, or you’d like to replace ill-fitting dentures, All-on-4 can achieve this, with as few as 4 implants.

What does ‘’All-on-4’’ mean?

8-10 implants are usually required to support a whole arch of teeth. However, All-on-4 uses as few as 4 or 6 carefully-placed implants. Not only is this a cost-effective implant treatment for patients with multiple missing teeth, but as you are fitted with a temporary bridge on the day of your implant surgery, you won’t have to go without teeth at any point during your treatment journey.

The benefits of treatment

  • Cutting-edge treatment that replaces teeth in a single day.
  • Provides excellent chewing and biting function.
  • Ability to improve your existing smile
  • Preserves your jawbone health.
  • Maintains bone structure after tooth loss.

The Treatment

Step 1) Consultation – Getting to know you is a really important step to us. We treat our patients as we would like to be treated ourselves. As well as answering your questions, we will also seek to alleviate any anxieties you might have about dental implant surgery. Every step of the treatment journey will be explained to you, in terms you can easily understand – we don’t believe in using dental jargon!

Step 2) CBCT Scan – Using our CBCT scanner, we can gain a full understanding of your oral anatomy. Should we find you have lost a significant amount of jawbone, we may advise a bone graft to build this healthy bone so that dental implants can be placed at a later date.

Step 3) Surgery – Any failing teeth are extracted and your implants are placed in a single appointment.

Step 4) Temporary Bridge – A temporary bridge is placed during the same appointment, giving you back the ability to chew and speak with more ease.

Step 5) Permanent Bridge – Once your implants have healed (this is normally after 3-6 months), your permanent bridge can be fitted.

FAQs

How is it possible to replace my teeth in a single day?
This is always a question we love to answer, as it always impresses our patients.

Implants will be specially angled at the rear of the mouth where bone is less dense, whilst the remaining implants can be positioned at the front of the jaw. This careful placement means less implants are needed to support a full arch of teeth, and even those with reduced bone volume can be suitable candidates for treatment.

Is All-on-4 a removable treatment?
No. Once your bridge has been fitted, it will be permanently anchored to your dental implants, becoming a part of your mouth. Your dentist will be able to remove your bridge for maintenance purposes, when this is required.
