No one should have to put up with gaps in their smile.
With bespoke bridges, it’s possible to replace lost teeth and renew your confidence so that you can get back to smiling again.
The Treatment
Unlike dentures, bridges are a fixed solution, offering an excellent level of stability.
Step 1) Examination – We will perform an examination of your teeth and the soft tissues in your mouth.
Step 2) Preparation of the teeth on either side of the gap are filed down so that they are ready to receive the crowns that will secure your bridge in place. Using dental impressions, the dental technician can create your bespoke bridge and crowns. We will fit you with a temporary bridge whilst your permanent bridge is being designed, so you won’t have to go without a tooth at any stage of your treatment journey.
Step 3) Fitting – once your bridge is ready, we can fit it securely in place.

FAQs
Why should I replace a missing tooth?
Even one missing tooth can throw your biting forces out of balance, which can result in tooth wear. A further consequence of having a missing tooth in the long term is that your neighbouring teeth will start to move into the gap, causing misalignment and even changes to your facial structure.
How long will my bridge last?
With good care, your bridge can last for up to 10 years.
Are there alternative treatments for missing teeth?
Here at Durham Dental Implant Suite, we offer the gold standard in tooth replacement treatment – dental implants. Implants are a cut above the rest. They’re surgically positioned in the jawbone which means that once healed, they behave like a real tooth. As well as performing conventional bridge treatment, we can restore missing teeth without the need to file down your natural teeth, with the use of dental implants.
