The loss of even one tooth is enough to cause debilitating changes to your smile, oral functions and your confidence.
Single dental implants are anchored directly into your jaw, offering a permanent solution to tooth loss. With cutting-edge technology at our disposal, we can achieve a result that not only looks identical to a real tooth, but that behaves like one too.
The Treatment
Step 1) Consultation – Getting to know you is a really important step for us. We treat our patients as we would like to be treated ourselves. As well as answering your questions, we will also seek to alleviate any anxieties you might have about dental implant surgery. Every step of the treatment journey will be explained to you, in terms you can easily understand – we don’t believe in using dental jargon!
Step 2) CBCT Scan – Using our CBCT scanner, we can determine whether you are a good candidate for treatment. If we find you do not have sufficient bone density after your scan, we can look into performing a bone graft to build up healthy bone that will support your implant.
Once we have a full picture of your dental health, we can seek your approval of a fully costed treatment plan.
Step 3) Planning – Careful planning is central to the success of dental implants. With virtual assimilation technology, we’re able to closely predict your treatment trajectory and establish the best position for your implant, making for the most successful long-term outcome.
Step 4) Surgery Day – Under local anaesthetic, your implant is placed gently and precisely. We will provide you with instructions on how to look after your mouth after your surgery. You will also be able to get in touch with your dedicated implant contact here at the practice, should you need to ask any questions or vocalise any concerns.
Step 5) Tooth Restoration – By capturing a digital scan of your teeth, we can create the crown that will serve as the restoration for your implant. Once this has been carefully created by the lab, and your jaw has successfully healed, we can anchor this to your implant.

FAQs
Do I really need to replace one missing tooth?
Whilst a missing tooth might not seem to be causing you any problems immediately after it has been lost, the long term consequences can be problematic. Eventually, neighbouring teeth will begin to move into the gap, making it more challenging to perform your oral hygiene routine.
Gaps in your smile also put pressure on other teeth to pick up the slack, leading to tooth wear. Eventually, bone tissue will begin to resorb as it no longer has a function to support the tooth root that’s missing. Not only does this weaken the jaw, it can give way to loss of volume at specific areas of the face, ageing your overall facial aesthetic.
Opting for implant-based treatments for the outset is the best way to preserve the integrity of your smile, your confidence and your oral health.
What if I have more than 2 or 3 missing teeth?
We may recommend implant-supported dentures or an implant-supported bridge if you have more than 2 or 3 missing teeth. We will be able to determine the best course of action once we have examined your bite and bone density.
